When the atmosphere matters
Tahko is known for its well-maintained slopes and snowboarder locations. In addition to downhill sports, Tahko offers many types of winter fun ranging from cross-country skiing to snowmobiling. The large selection of high-quality restaurants and accommodation services ensure plenty of night life, entertainment and events for the whole winter.
The longest slope at Tahko is 1,200 m, and the maximum elevation difference is 200 m. The area has 24 slopes, 11 of which are illuminated. There are 15 lifts, including two chair lifts, to bring you back to the top.
Snowboarders and freestyle skiers thrive at Jukulauta Street and Tahko Park with their boxes and rails.
Plenty of summer activities
The ski lifts do not stop for the summer – the slopes at Tahko offer opportunities for downhill biking, hiking or just admiring the views. Since autumn 2017, you can also reach the top of Tahko by climbing up a 1,054-step staircase. Tahko is truly open year-round – for example, the golf season starts almost as soon as the ski season ends, and the first-snow ski trail opens in time for the autumn holiday week in October.
SkiOne invests in Tahko
SkiOne will invest MEUR 7 in developing the Tahko slopes by 2020. The changes guaranteed to please skiers include a new chair lift, widening the bottom part of the Tourist Slope, lowering the gradient of the children’s slopes and adding covered conveyor lifts. Tahko will also get a new service building and an automatic snowmaking system to ensure that the winter season starts as early as possible.
Tahko is easy to reach
